Individual Consulting with Professionals

We assist educators and other professionals interested in learning about digital technology for their teaching, research or outreach projects. We can help you select audio and video equipment to purchase, and train you to use this equipment. We can also help plan projects and write grant proposals.

Personal Projects

We work with individuals to preserve personal memories in oral or video memoirs. If you have a family member, friend or colleague who you believe has an important story to tell, we also offer gift certificates.

Digital Storytelling Workshops

We lead digital storytelling workshops for organizations. In these 2-3 day workshops, expert facilitators in technology and teaching ask 3-10 participants to reflect on their attachment to their work or some other relevant issue, and assist them in writing a compelling 1-page story. Workshop participants are then taught how to use free or inexpensive digital video editing software to combine this script with their personal photographs and music. By the end of the workshop, every participant will have completed their own 3-4 minute "digital story."

Beyond the team building that occurs during such a workshop, the products created are both impressive and easy to distribute. Digital stories serve a variety of compelling purposes, including those related to organizational reflection, recruitment, new employee training and promotion.

Inservice Visits & Curriculum Consulting

We will come to schools or universities and train faculty to use digital editing software and integrate digital media projects into their classrooms.
